Water Dams for Spill Protection | Garrett Wade
These durable water dams are incredibly absorbent and can be used for unexpected water-based spills & leaks. Wrap the water dams around hot water tanks, leaky pipes, or anywhere susceptible to water damage inside your workshop or basement. The water dams lay flat until they are activated by water. Made of a high-visibility orange knit, these dams stretch as they grow up to 2.5 inches tall in just five minutes. The inner absorbent is completely contained within the dam to prevent liquid seepage. When un-used these water dams are lightweight, compact, and easy to store, so you will always be prepared for anything. Not for use around salt water, calcium, or chlorine.

    Your video was very helpful. Before we went to utube we tried to look at mechanism inside. There is a spring in the lower part of loppers and we are not sure where it is suppose to connect think it may be around the pin that clicks when you open fully. Can you help?

    Nothing like USING LIGHT, LOOSELY TWISTED MANILA LINE TO SHOW OFF THE KNIFE. How about 3/4" nylon or polyester? While it does have a pretty good back, the blade cross-section is too fine and vulnerable.

    Just go buy a electric chainsaw sharpener from Harbor Freight. It will be cheaper, does the job quicker, and gives very sharp finishes and is only thirty five bucks. This gadget shown is not even on their own website. And they sell a similar electric chainsaw sharpener to the HF for one hundred bucks. Yea, the quality might be there, but for me, the cost is a lot more kind to my pocketbook if I go with the HF sharpener.

    Why two tools that do essentially the same job?

    • @Ahjile
      @Ahjile Місяць тому

      Ah, because they don't do the same thing at all. The drill screws down, then pulls up and reverses to eject the waste out, clearing it to drill further on the next push. The driver halts its twist on the pull stroke, allowing every push to further advance the screw without any pullback. There are further important differences. The driver has a hex chuck for standard driving bits, while the drill has a chuck that accepts round bits. Also, the driver has a thicker internal twist bar (seen extended in this video), it is stronger, has more torque, and operates slower. The drill is designed more for speed in drilling, which is ideal.

    • @Tensquaremetreworkshop
      @Tensquaremetreworkshop Місяць тому

      @@Ahjile Partly right. The drills are not normal round shank- they are Yankee compatable shafts. Hex ended drills are widely available, of course, as are driver bits; but you cannot use either these or normal drills. And metric do not appear to be available (or number or letter...) Rotation- this can be chosen by the selector. Of course, twist drills do not need to reverse- technically they are spiral upcut, so they clear chips as they go. The driver seems to need rotation tightening of the bit- inferior to the normal axial lock of hex drivers. The spiral may be more robust- but the number of turns per press seems very similar. I still hold that a single tool can do both jobs. I have a Yankee with a chuck adapter (for standard drills), and it works fine. Hex adapters are also available.

    Good start, but where is the rest of this video? Did you forget to edit the rest into it? Why even post this? It's like click bait or something! Sad. If you had just talked about it, while showing the various drill and driver bits in your hand and shooting a few close-ups of the case (and maybe closing the case and picking it up and shaking it) the video would have been SO much better, and it could have all been done in about two more minutes, making the video three minutes long. Of course, a more extensive, five or ten minute video would be needed to truly review a 246 piece set of bits, but even what I just described would have made this video three or four times better. I actually had to give this a thumbs down, because it was a waste of time to watch it.
